Recycle, renew, reuse - £1.00 - I am happy to take old stock and make them ‘show ready’ again. Rosettes which have been kept in bags and stored in boxes usually need a new center and a couple of new tails, plus introducing to a warm iron; I can usually repurpose 90% of these. Rosettes which have been awarded and hung in a tack room need more of my attention. I will typically renew any white ribbon, replace a couple of tails and reback the rosette using the same bridle hook. My success rate is about 50%, depending on the quality of the ribbon; satin ribbon works best.

I only use best quality satin ribbon in the manufacture of my rosettes. Satin gives a glorious luminescent shine and has the advantage of not easily creasing, so your excess stock won’t need their tails ironing before they come out of hibernation.

I mainly use a combination of ‘box’ and ‘knife’ pleats on my rosettes. I can also pleat ‘Elizabethan Ruffle’ if you request it when ordering.

I can personalize the tails on my rosettes. I have a thermal transfer printer linked to my computer. The programme I use is very similar to ‘word;’ with a huge selection of fonts to choose from. I can copy, paste and download images and logo’s.

I also buy in pre-printed cardboard centers and I can access 100’s of designs, with over 30 colour options. Alternatively, you can buy personalised 68mm stickers online that go over the centers. They work out at about 5p each.

Except for the 1 tier, round rosette; all my rosettes have 3 x 11 inch tails and unless otherwise requested, my rosettes have a ‘gem’ on the center tail.

I pride myself on a quick turnaround as I am also a show secretary and I know the pitfalls and challenges you have to endure. I have a huge stock of components to make rosettes at short notice, although if you are in need of anything specific, a weeks notice will make all our lives a little easier!
